I declare today to be Floridian Day. I choose today because in South Florida, the whether outside is exactly paradise. And it is a day for Floridians to enjoy for ourselves because the seasonal, northern visitors and tourists have not yet flown south for the Winter. It is just us.
The humidity index is near 51%, the high temperature for today was around 87 and it is cool outside. It feels like the first day of what some call the Fall season and the beginning of the heart of football season. Standing barefoot in our freshly cut lawn is a dream come true.
I embrace this day because tomorrow could be 96 degrees, hot as hell, muggy, with a 70 percent chance of afternoon thunderstorms.
