What is InternetUpdates.exe ?
Is InternetUpdates.exe in your startup menu, or a running process?
Is InternetUpdates.exe sucking up 99% of your resources?
Are you running ATP Navigator and find that your computer is running slowly?
Well, have I got the answers you’ve been looking for!?!?
There is almost zero information about this process on the web, so I figured it was my duty to post what I know.
InternetUpdates.exe is a process generated by ATP Navigator to perform its software updates over the Internet. I have found that recently, the process takes up 99% of the resources of my computer when it is running aimlessly in the background all day. You can end the process through the Task Manager (Google it if you don’t know how to check if it’s running), but it reappears on your next logon or restart.
I am waiting right now for a phone call back from ATP Tech Support to see how I can resolve this. I’m sure they’ll have the solution because their tech support is one of the BEST I’ve ever dealt with. The main guy’s name is Dan, and he is a pleasure to deal with.
A resolution update to this post will be in the near future.
