Introduce Yourself

Since this site’s inception, I’d been planning to have some other authors compose articles. It would have been silly to have other people posting articles on this site before I even had an idea of what I wanted the site to be about, so I’ve waited.

While talking with a friend today, I offered him to be the second author on inspectaneck.com (some big honor, I know). So, hopefully he will begin to post and learn the software so that he might express himself in the most effective way. If it works out, then I may offer for others to become authors.

Part of the reason for this change is to encompass the ideas of good writers who have no public medium for expressing themselves (i.e. a blog, column, paid publisher, etc). Additionally, there are topics I enjoy discussing, however, I do not have the education, knowledge, or desire to write about. Textpattern, the software I use to manage the content on this site, allows for the organization of pages by author, category, etc, so I can implement ways to give authors their own categories (i.e. politics, music) or their own pages (i.e. display only articles by Bill).

I still plan on being the sole Publisher, allowing me to approve articles before they are posted. I want to maintain the general audience appeal of inspectaneck.com. I would imagine this aspect will take some figuring out along the way.
