War of the Worlds (2005)

I just saw War of the Worlds.
At just under two hours long, I was on the edge of my seat for most of that time. The tempo of the movie was ongoing and persistent. It kept me wanting more and more.

Although this movie had the Steven Spielberg classic trademark touch, it had a unique feel. He fantasticaly saturates the entire film with suspense and concern for the characters, and the backdrop of the featured family is filled with intriguing, explosive activity and tons of special effects.

Unlike other alien invasion movies, this ending is realistic and refreshing. On the way out of the theatre, I heard mostly negative comments from the other moviegoers, but maybe they can’t stand Tom Cruise even more than I do.
