After my network finally recognized my Zonet ZPS2102, I was unable to change any settings through the Wizard or manually through PSAdmin. I was receiving “Failed to Save Configuration” with each attempt.
To solve the issue, I manually changed my IP address to 192.168.5.xxx (where xxx is a value between 2 – 254) since 192.168.5.1 is the native IP address of the server. I then typed 192.168.5.1 into my browser’s address bar.
The web configuration interface popped up and I was able to set the IP to one I desire OR set it to receive a dynamic IP from a DHCP server. If setting staticly, make sure it is on the same subnet as your computer network. In most small networks, there is only one subnet, so no problemo.
Once I hit SAVE & RESTART, the print server restarted with the new IP settings. Since I had manually switched to subnet 192.168.5.x, we were now on different subnets, the browser could no longer find the print server at the new IP address.
So, switch back your IP settings on your computer to what it was before and you can navigate again to the printer’s IP address in your web browser.
No friggin support on Zonet’s website and not much help on the rest of the Internet. I’m off to search for a firmware update (if one exits)... current one is from 2004.
